Differences and Similarities between Apples and Oranges
In the world, lots of people eat various different kinds of fruit at least one for week. What is your favorite fruit? How many times do you eat fruit? In my case, I think apples and oranges are most favorite fruit. Now I am going to find and write some differences and similarities between apples and oranges about color, uses and nutritional value because I think going to learn something that I like is good.
First, Both apples and oranges have their own attractive color. The skin of apples is red and when peels the skin, apples have sort of apricot color. The skin of oranges is orange and when peels the skin, oranges have around yellow color. When you peel skin of apple, you can see different color but for an orange color seems doesn't change much, it is very similar. These two fruits, apples and oranges are used for decorating something such as on the cake and salad because they have colorful and attractive color. Interestingly, when you peel the skin of apple and leave it for a while. An apple is oxidized by polyphenol in the air. Because of this the color of apple changes into around the brown color. This change is called Maillard reaction. However, the color of orange doesn't change when you leave it for a time. Apples and oranges have some similarities and differences. In my opinion, I prefer oranges because they have attractive and splendid color, when apples changes color if I leave it, however oranges color don't change. For that reasons I prefer oranges are better.
Second, As you know apples and oranges are very healthy fruits people can prevent some sickness such as constipation, high blood pressure, fatness, headache and so on only eating apples and oranges. Apples and oranges can be used for things of daily necessity. For example, apples can be used for various kinds of food, skin care, lotion, snack and alcohol. Oranges can be used for also various kinds of food, soap, massage pack, juice and especially skin of oranges is good at cold when you boil and drink. Sometimes oranges and apples are better than other medicine.
Third, As I mentioned apples and oranges are very healthy fruits, they have different nutritional value. For apples, one medium apple with skin contains almost 4 grams of dietary fiber, 158mg of potassium, 9.5mg of calcium, 9.5mg of phosphorus, 7mg of magnesium, 4mg of selenium, apples also contains small amounts of manganese, iron, copper and zinc. Apples contain 73IU of vitamin A, 9mg of vitamin C, 0.66 IU of vitamin E and 4mcg of Folate. Folate is important during pregnancy. In the other hand for oranges, one medium orange contains 1 gram of protein and 3 grams of dietary fiber, 237mg of potassium, 52mg of calcium, 18mg of phosphorus, 13mg of magnesium, 65mg of selenium, apples also contains little amount of iron, zinc, copper and manganese, 269 IU of vitamin A, 70mg of vitamin C, 1mg of vitamin B1, 33mg of pantothenic acid and 40mcg of Foltate. If you compare apples and oranges, an orange is better than apples in every nutritional value. In my opinion, I prefer oranges in ways that more nutritional and healthier.
I've found some differences and similarites between apples and oranges about color, uses and nutritional value. In my opinion, I think oranges are better because as I research about nutritional value, oranges have most higher nutritional value than apples have. Therefore I prefer oranges
